Nescafé and Krups have joined forces to bring you the Nescafé
Dolce Gusto Coffee Machine. The manufacturers claim that it will
change the way that you make, drink and even think about
coffee.
It is a sleek stylish looking product and would fit in perfectly
with any kitchen, modern or traditional. It makes the coffee by
mixing the water which is held in a container at the back of the
unit with small capsules or 'pods' of coffee. There are 18
different varieties of these pods and you can get anything from
lattes and cappuccinno's to espresso's and americano's. The 15 bar
high pressure system is perfect for extracting every ounce of
flavour from the coffee capsules giving your taste buds a treat.
The manufacturers have greatly improved the ergonomics of the unit
so that you, the customer, are the number one priority. The unique
'Thermoblock technology' heats the water as it is required making
every cup of coffee you make as fresh as possible. It also has a
large drip tray so that any cleaning up you need to do will be
minimal. It can turn you from someone who is just a casual coffee
drinker into a connoisseur.
Some coffee enthusiasts argue that it is not actually coffee you
are making, it is only an imitation or 'coffee flavoured' warm
beverage. They say that it lacks 'body' and taste. But for £52.99,
a saving of 56% off the recommended retail price of £119.99 what
more can you ask for. If you are that into coffee you should be
growing the beans yourself in my opinion. Also some customers on
Amazon.co.uk have made the comment that around 1 in 5 of the coffee
pods are not up to standard, however I think it is worth the risk
because even these customers said that the other 4 out of 5 pods
are fantastic.
Despite these minor imperfections it receives 4.5 out of 5 stars
on Amazon.co.uk with a massive 55 out of the 64 reviews being in
the 4 and 5 star ranges. This is expected as Nescafé and Krups are
well known for their high quality products. So if you think your
taste buds are ready for a whole new coffee experience, then why
not give them one of the best money can buy, and save yourself a
few quid in the process.
